Beach nourishment is exactly what it sounds like "to nourish (refill) the beach" this soft engneering reqires sand, machines and diggers and alot of money £1 million or maybe even more for a whole beach (£30 per cubic meter). However this is not for areas with high amounts of destructive waves as it will just take the sand back with its backwash. also the beach will have to be replenished every 20 years.and beach is a "construction site" while nourishment is in progress.
